Data-driven risk management — simple, precise, and predictable

Our approach: insight begins with understanding where the risks lie

Inscio starts every project with one key question: where could risks arise—during construction and during operation?
From there, we develop a measurement strategy that is precisely tailored to the building, the materials, and the intended use. No unnecessary technology, just targeted measurements where it matters.

Why we work this way

Materials behave differently in practice than on paper.
Roofs, facades, CLT, biobased insulation, floors, and indoor climate respond to:

  • weather
  • moisture
  • temperature
  • construction sequence
  • ventilation
  • use

Risks do not arise in a spreadsheet, but in reality.

Our approach is therefore based on three principles:

  • Understanding where the risks lie
  • Measuring what matters
  • Identify problems before damage occurs

This is the core of OUTSIDE INSIGHTS.

Our approach

1. Risk assessment

Every project begins with a simple, quick risk analysis.
We look at:

  • building component (roofs,facades,CLT,biobasedinsulation,floors)
  • material behavior (drying, moisture, temperature, condensation)
  • design details and connections
  • slope, drainage, and detailing
  • functional use of the building
  • warranty and management period

This provides a clear picture of where deviations may occur.

2. Logical layout plan

Since every roof or building component is unique, a layout plan based on risk assessment is a logical choice.
This applies to:

We only install sensors where they reduce risk.
No over-monitoring — just enough to detect anomalies early on.

Rollout

3. Installation & activation

Our sensors are robust, CE certified, and suitable for both construction sites and operation.
We use:

  • LoRaWAN or NB-IoT depending on the case
  • own sensors and carefully selected partners
  • long service life (up to 20 years)

Installation is quick, discreet, and without inconvenience.

4. Real-time monitoring

As soon as the sensors are active, Inscio starts continuous measurement:

  • moisture
  • temperature
  • dew point
  • air quality (CO₂, VOCs, PM, RH, formaldehyde)
  • water level on roofs
  • gutter pollution
  • snow load

Not just once, but 24/7, in context and in patterns.

Detection and analysis

5. Automatic notification

You don't need to log in to find risks — we'll notify you automatically.

Our software detects:

  • stagnant drying
  • rising damp
  • risk of condensation
  • abnormal indoor climate
  • water on roofs
  • pollution in gutters
  • snow depth
  • ventilation issues
  • trend deviations

Signals are clear, understandable, and focused:
What is happening, why, and why now?

6. Dashboards & AI recommendations

Dashboards make behavior understandable for every user.
AI recommendations help to:

  • identify causes
  • justify choices
  • prioritize actions
  • plan maintenance more effectively
  • make warranty and management transparent

No noise. No doubt. Just clear insight.

Improve

7. Continuous improvement

Insight improves every decision. We use data to:

  • optimize roof details
  • better understand moisture behavior
  • stabilize indoor climate
  • compare insulation performance
  • reduce failure rates
  • justify material choices

Every measurement contributes to a better sector — and a longer lifespan for buildings.

What makes our approach unique

We connect roofs, facades, floors, materials, and indoor climate

measure what matters, not what happens to be easy

Complex where necessary, clear where possible.

Simple where possible, technical where necessary

Always focused on prevention, not repair

Our customers tell their stories

"Thanks to Inscio's sensors, we can clearly see how much moisture the wood is exposed to during the construction period."

Taco Valstar – ERA Contour

Until last fall, we informed clients and partners about expected roof behavior based on practical experience. Now we provide objective measurement data.

Laurens van Wylick – Isomix insulating mortars

"We believe that things can and must be done differently."

Imagine this: you take your car to the garage for maintenance. The mechanic stares at the shiny paintwork with a concerned look, runs his hands over the surface, and takes some photos. Then he comes back excitedly and concludes that the engine is broken and needs to be replaced.

That sounds absurd, doesn't it? And yet that is roughly what happens during real estate inspections. We believe that things can and must be done differently.
