Understanding risks during construction and management

Sensors from Inscio

Sensors from Inscio: robust, safe, and designed for continuous use

Inscio uses high-quality sensors that remain reliable in all conditions — from construction sites to long-term operation. The hardware complies with European laws and regulations, is CE certified, and operates autonomously for up to 20 years. We combine our own sensors with carefully selected external sensors, and always opt for LoRaWAN or NB-IoT, depending on what is technically best suited to the situation.

Why good sensors make all the difference

Measurements are only valuable if they are reliable. Conditions change constantly during construction and operation: moisture, temperature, dust, vibrations, access restrictions, and weather influences. That is why sensors must:

  • long-term and stable functioning,
  • use minimal energy,
  • be able to take a beating,
  • be safe and certified,
  • and continue to communicate under all circumstances.

Inscio selects and builds hardware that does exactly that.

Sensor technology

What Inscio uses in terms of sensor technology

Robust and construction site-proof

Our sensors are resistant to moisture, dust, temperature fluctuations, and vibrations. They continue to function reliably in harsh environments and are suitable for both temporary and permanent monitoring.

Safe and fully tested

All sensors undergo extensive technical and functional testing. They comply with all relevant standards and are fully CE marked.

Own sensors and selected partners

Inscio develops its own sensors and purchases sensors from proven suppliers. For each project, we always select the solution that best suits the risk from a technical and structural perspective.

LoRaWAN and NB-IoT

We use two key communication technologies:

  • LoRaWAN for long distances, low energy consumption, and deployment with large numbers of sensors.
  • NB-IoT for challenging locations in buildings, deep indoor positions, and extra high reliability.

We make the choice on a case-by-case basis — the user only needs to know that it works.

Long service life

Our sensors operate autonomously, with a service life of up to 20 years. This makes them suitable for projects with a long operating horizon and for high-risk construction phases where reliability is crucial.

Complies with laws and regulations

All hardware complies with European requirements for safety, radio equipment, and electromagnetic compatibility. Application is problem-free for construction, real estate, and industry.

Benefits for builders, managers, and asset owners

With Inscio sensors, you benefit from:

  • Years of stable and reliable measurements;
  • fewer disruptions on the construction site and during use;
  • hardware that is ready for extreme conditions;
  • full compliance with standards and regulations;
  • secure data transfer and guaranteed availability;
  • One integrated system for all risks under the roof and in the structure.

Our customers tell their stories

"Thanks to Inscio's sensors, we can clearly see how much moisture the wood is exposed to during the construction period."

Taco Valstar – ERA Contour

 Until last fall, we informed clients and partners about expected roof behavior based on practical experience. Now we provide objective measurement data.

Laurens van Wylick – Isomix insulating mortars

"We believe that things can and must be done differently."

Imagine this: you take your car to the garage for maintenance. The mechanic stares at the shiny paintwork with a concerned look, runs his hands over the surface, and takes some photos. Then he comes back excitedly and concludes that the engine is broken and needs to be replaced.

That sounds absurd, doesn't it? And yet that is roughly what happens during real estate inspections. We believe that things can and must be done differently.
